Blouse In-store at Sonic Boom

Blouse is an alternative-electric band from Portland, Oregon. They have not been around long on the music scene but have already accumulated quite the fan base with their great music.
This in-store was at Sonic Boom's Kensington location which specializes in an array of vinyl. It was different to attend an in-store there since there is no stage at this store. The audience there was not very large but those who did attend on the sunny day were very enthusiastic about the band.
Blouse had a great performance, performing quite a few songs. Their sound was really good live and they put on a good show in the small amount of space that they had. Blouse's song incorporate great instrumentation from all members of the band, with especially awesome synth parts. Their sound is very 80's electronic/new wave sound, which is fresh in today's overpowering indie-guitar rock music.
I really enjoyed this performance, and am happy that I got to spend the nice spring day in Kensington Market at one of my favourite record stores, listening to a great band!
Blouse are definitely a band to check out if you have not already done, and their album Captured Tracks, is a must-have on your "to buy" list.
