Grouplove at 102.1 The Edge studio

Grouplove have a great positive and carefree vibe surrounding their music and with their unique formation story, they are one of a kind. The band's music is great with superb harmonies and catchy hooks, as well as an edgier tone to their light melodies. They are definitely a band to look out for with their recent success of touring with Young The Giant and playing at Coachella.
I was lucky enough to see Grouplove, one of my favourite bands, in New York in March when they were opening for Young The Giant. Grouplove are currently on their headlining tour throughout North America and made a stop in Toronto on May 9th to play a sold out show at Wrongbar with Reptar as their opening act. Sadly I wasn't able to go attend their show because it was not all-ages but luck was on my side and I was able to see them at Sugar Beach at The Edge.
Grouplove's set was obviously very short being that it was on the radio. They performed their two most popular songs, Tongue Tied and Colours off their album Never Trust A Happy Song. The band was great live, even though I only got to see a brief show. All five members had a great amount of energy even though they were performing at a radio station for around twenty people (this was due to the terribly rainy weather that day.) The band put on a really great show and it was my favourite of the  sessions I've been to at 102.1 The Edge. Grouplove are also a great bunch of people. After they performed they came out to talk to the fans who hung around, and they were all very kind.
All in all, I enjoyed getting to see Grouplove and they are a band to look out for in the near future with their great tunes!
