Meeting Michael Bublé!

The epic, orchestral beginning of Cry Me A River comencess, as through the curtains the outline of the Canadian singer from Vancouver, is visible, conducting an orchestra...
Heading to this concert I thought it would be fun to make a Canadian flag, and have some pride, never thinking anything would come about. I was not a huge Bublé fan before the concert.
Michael Bublé had a really good setlist of his big hits, some original material and a good balance between upbeat and ballads. My favourite song of the show was when he performed Twist & Shout, by The Beatles (he also sang Billie Jean by Michael Jackson.) I was ecstatic when he said his next song was to be a Beatles classic! Bublé also had a real skill for charisma on stage, as he was able to make the large convention room of the HKCEC feel like a club. Another unique thing about his show is that it's almost like his "comedy" act with some songs in between, thought it was nice, having a piece of home with his Canadian humour.
I quite enjoyed at the very end of the show, when Bublé had the whole audience silent and he sang acapello without a microphone! It was amazing hearing his voice like that! Also he was really able to project, and truly does have a strong voice. But the best is yet to come...

The best part of the show though was after a few songs into the show, my friends and I had our sign with the Canadian flag up and Michael Bublé noticed it and thanked us for it! That was cool enough at it was, until soon after he called us up onto the stage so he could sign the flag for us! That was amazing!  He signed the flag and asked us if we lived in Hong Kong and where we were from. It was a brief encounter but also a truly sensational one. I still have the signed flag today :)
