Michou at the CNE

The second free concert I went to at the bandshell at the CNE was Lights, the Canadian singer-songwriter. Her opening act was Michou, a folk-ish band from Windsor, Ontario. I thought they seemed pretty cool since they were from Ontario and their sound was pretty interesting.
At the concert they turned out to be pretty good live. Their sound was clear and they were all talented. Also they interacted with the audience quite a bit by talking about all sorts of things, from the band members to what some of their songs were about. Also they didn't self-promote themselves, so they were already that much better than Jackie Valentine. Their trumpet/tambourine/xylophone player was an interesting character and was jumping around the stage a lot.
Michou's sound is a bit like OK Go, and they've released three EPs in Canada and two albums. All in all they were a pretty good act live, and if they were coming back to Toronto  I would see them again.
