Evan Taubenfeld was Avril Lavigne's first opening act and he performed an acoustic set. When he walked out on stage, he deemed our welcome not exciting enough for Toronto and told us he would come back if we cheered like this was his last song. So the audience obliged and when he walked back on stage, he received a much more enthusiastic welcome.
Evan T's sound was pretty good but he was nothing special. He did a good performance and talked to the audience a lot. I liked his acoustic set and he was better in my opinion than the second opening act, and he voice we very good but I was not blown away and am not that interested in seeing him again or buying his album. The only real thing that bugged me about him was that all his songs were break-up songs besides his cover of Avril Lavigne's song "Innocence" that he wrote with her, as he is good friends with the Canadian singer-songwriter.
He was also meeting people after the set but since I wasn't that taken with his music and I didn't want to loose my spot in the standing crowd, I opted out of this option.
