The Inbreds at Sonic Boom CMW

The Inbreds were the third band to consist of a duo, to perform at Sonic Boom on the second day of Canadian Music Week. The Inbreds were also the third, large name to be at the record store.
The crowd was the largest so far, filling over half of the vinyl section of the shop with people. The Inbreds, having been broken up since 1998, had a reunion again for CMW this year. They performed two shows, headlining at Lee's Palace on March 24th, and their in-store at the record shop.
For this show, I did know a few of the tunes beforehand but did not know much history of the band. It was not until after their performance that I realized how special the event was!
The Inbreds had an amazing live performance, I absolutely loved their show! Even though the two have not been together as a proper band for more than a decade, they were still able to put on a great show. They played a good, solid set of songs ending with Any Sense of Time, probably my favourite song by them. Both members played their instruments impeccably, especially Mike O'Neill who plays bass instead of guitar. It was very interesting to see this be done.
I would definitely say that this was one of my favourite performances of the three days of CMW at Sonic Boom, even though all the performances there were incredible. This was probably due to how special of show this was and the history of the band.
They are definitely a show to see, and if there is another reunion I hope that I will be able to attend and see the duo perform in full length!
Amelia Earhart, another favourite, performed during The Inbreds reunion at Lee's Palace this CMW.
