Born Ruffians at Sonic Boom Record Store Day

The Born Ruffians are also a local Toronto band, with an especially loyal fan base. A large crowd of people had packed into Sonic Boom to see the band, on the extremely busy day. The spots vacated by those only there for The Darcys were quickly filled by Born Ruffians fans.
Born Ruffians began with the lead singer, Luke Lalonde performing a solo song which he had recently recorded. From there the rest of the band performed around five songs together, including Red, Yellow and Blue, which I think is one of their best songs. I thought this song sounded great live. The rest of the songs the Born Ruffians played also carried the band's great energy and rhythms!
There was a great amount of energy to the show, even though the band did not move around on the small stage that much. This was further emphasized by the Record Store Day audience, with many people singing along, and cheering ecstatically at the mention of how they are in the midst of recording their next album.
