Plants and Animals at Sonic Boom Record Store Day

Plants and Animals are a Montreal based indie-rock band, who were also in town on Record Store Day to play an almost sold out show at Lee's Palace just around the corner from Sonic Boom, later that same day.
Even though most of the earlier crowd from both The Darcys and Born Ruffians cleared out before Plants and Animals' set, the store filled right back up practically with a new bunch of fans.
Plants and Animals had a great set, and I really enjoyed their sound. There was not much to their in-store performance, with only the guitarist and bassist really moving around but their music was great! They performed quite a few songs, which consisted of a good variety of both mid tempo and more upbeat material.
I really enjoyed their set even though I did not know much about them beforehand, and they are definitely a band to look out for in the near future!
