Writers' Strike at Sonic Boom CMW

Writer's Strike were Rich Aucoin's last minute replacements at Sonic Boom for Canadian Music Week. They only knew about the show two hours beforehand!
Writers' Strike are from Nova Scotia, the same as their tour mate, Rich Aucoin. They have a slightly similar sound though their's is not quite as electronic. The band's sound consisted more of indie guitar rock, with less synth and dance influence in their songs.
For being a last minute show, it was still incredibly well done and they did a great job! I surprisingly really enjoyed Writers' Strike, after being somewhat disappointed that I would not see Rich Aucoin, who is a favourite of mine.
Their set was very energetic and they tried to get the audience involved as much as possible, especially with the last song where they got everyone to sing along and wave flags. It was incredibly fun!
I enjoyed their music quite a bit, I really like their song New York City!
Writers' Strike were a great replacement for Rich Aucoin, and definitely made up for his absence at Sonic Boom.
